Learning Lab

The City of Greensboro is excited to announce the addition of the Learning Lab to its Brownfields Program. Learning Lab is a great way to encourage community involvement in new developments and educate the public on local projects.

You don’t have to be in school to benefit from Learning Lab. This is an educational outreach program that can be molded for any age or type of group. Whether your group is a professional organization, a community association, an elementary school class or a college seminar, Learning Lab has a lot to offer. It's a fun way to learn about the environment while playing an active role in your community!

Here are a few examples of what Learning Lab can do for your group:

  • Display boards with information about the Brownfield's program can be shown at your local school, library, or meeting
DIsplay Board Our display board tells the story of the South Elm Street Redevelopment site and of the brownfields program.
  • Arrange for your group or class to make a visit to a real remediation site, to find out what goes on behind the scenes and in the soil.
  • Schedule an expert to come speak at your school, meeting, or public function.
